Financial Aid and Loan Refunds

The Office of the Bursar is in the process of preparing student financial aid refunds. Students can access their refund in one of two ways:

In-person – Students can pick up their refund on Monday, October 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Room 129 of the Chamberlain Student Center. Students are encouraged to check their Student Self-Service accounts to determine if they are eligible for a financial aid refund. For those students who cannot pick up their refunds on these designated dates, refunds may be picked up at the Office of the Bursar on the ground floor of Savitz Hall. Regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

e-Refunds – Students can now sign up for direct deposit and receive their refund electronically! e-Refunds is the fastest, safest, and most convenient way of receiving a refund. To enroll, go to www.rowan.edu/epay, log in with your student ID and PIN, click on e-Refunds from the top menu, and click Setup Account (only checking accounts are accepted). Please be sure to verify your account number carefully to avoid any delays in receiving your refund.


Fall 2015 Billing and Deferred Payments

Fall term bills were initially available on July 13, 2015 and were due on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. If you have already signed up on the deferred payment plan, please note the remaining installment due dates, which are as follows:

Wednesday, October 7, 2015
Wednesday, November 4, 2015

If you still owe an outstanding balance and are not on the deferred plan, please log on to Banner Student Self-Service (www.rowan.edu/selfservice) to make your payment in order to avoid any late fees.

Instructions for Viewing and Paying Your Bill

  • Choose “Access Banner Services” and log in using the student’s Rowan ID # and PIN.

  • To make a payment, click on “Bursar Services,” then choose “Make a Payment” to be directed to the secure payment site.

  • To access an online “real-time” bill (without schedule) or view payment instructions, click on “Bursar Services” then choose "Official Billing/Account Statement" or “Instructions for Term Invoice.”

Need to make a payment for a previous semester? In order to make a payment for a past due balance, please log on to Banner Student Self-Service (www.rowan.edu/selfservice), as directed above. After clicking on “Make a Payment," select “Pay by Term” and select the term in which you would like to make a payment. Click “Continue” to pay the full balance due for that designated semester. Follow the instructions for paying with a credit card or electronic check.

Please note that the deferred payment plan does NOT apply to previous semester balances due. Should you need to make arrangements for a payment plan for a prior semester balance, please contact the Collections Department at (856) 256-4155.

All notices concerning bills will be sent to the student’s Rowan e-mail account.



Credit Card Convenience Fee

Effective July 2015, students paying their tuition bill with a credit or debit card will be assessed a non-refundable credit card convenience fee, currently 2.75% of the transaction.

Rowan University is committed to offering its students a comprehensive array of financing options to pay for their tuition and associated fees, including room and board. However, the rising cost of transaction charges has made it fiscally impossible for Rowan University to continue to absorb these expenses. In order to continue accepting credit or debit cards, the University must pass the service charges on to the cardholder.

Payments via cash, check, or online deductions from a checking account will not be subject to this fee.

An Open Letter to Rowan University Students and Parents


Make sure you use your Dining Dollars before they expire!

All Dining Dollars will expire upon graduation, University withdraw, or at the end of each Spring semester. They will not roll over as they had in the past. To check account balances go to myrowancard.rowan.edu and log in with your network ID.

Did you know Dining Dollars can now be used at the food vendors on Rowan Boulevard as well as on-campus eateries?

Want to Add Authorized Users?

To add authorized users to view your bill & make payment, students must log into Banner Student Self-Service. Once logged in, click on "Bursar Services," then click "Make a Payment" to be directed to the secure payment site.  Once there, click the "Authorized Users" tab.  You will need to enter in the e-mail addresses for any person you would like to set up.

Authorized users will be sent an e-mail with a username and password in order to log in and view your statements and make payments.




How to Add 'Boro Bucks

To add funds to your 'Boro Bucks account for immediate use, simply go to: myrowancard.rowan.edu and log in with your network ID and password. Follow the steps to deposit money using a credit card. The funds will be available in your 'Boro Bucks account once your credit card transaction is complete.

Parents or relatives can easily and instantly add funds to your 'Boro Bucks account with a credit card at the guest log in area using your Rowan ID number.
