Health Insurance Costs and Benefits
Health Insurance Information for 2016-17 Academic Year
All full-time matriculated students and certification students enrolled in 12 or more credits for undergraduate or 9 or more credits for graduate students are automatically charged for Rowan University insurance coverage for the entire academic year. If you already have health coverage, please click here.
If you are enrolled in less than 12 credit hours for undergraduate students or 9 credit hours for graduate students, you will NOT be charged for health insurance.
The new federal healthcare laws require parents' health care policies to provide coverage for dependents up to age 26, so we encourage our students to investigate that possibility as an alternative to the student health insurance. Students should also explore their eligibility for public health benefits before deciding whether or not to waive out of the student insurance program.
