New
Signage Program
The first
prototypes of the new campus signage program were installed on the main campus
in late spring and at the South Jersey Technology Park (SJTP) over the summer.
The
signage program, developed as part of the Campus Master Plan, includes a
hierarchy of signage and “wayfinding” strategies. Each sign type serves a specific
purpose. The most prominent signs
are the “Entrance Monument” at the SJTP and the “Vehicular
Directional” signs at the SJTP and near the welcome booth at Memorial
Hall.
In
addition, new styles of “Building Identification” sign and
“Street Name” signs have been installed at the SJTP, and a new
campus map sign will soon be installed near the visitor parking area in Lot H
near Memorial Hall.
Prior to
fabrication and installation of new signs across the entire campus, we would
like to hear from you about the prototypes installed so far.
If you
have comments or suggestions about the new signage, please send them to: orlins@rowan.edu
by Friday, September 12, 2008.

complete signage guideline manual developed as part of the Campus Master Plan
