Managerial Evaluations

Effective September 1, 2008, the Board of Trustees passed a resolution that established a new employment policy for managers.  The policy provides that managers be reappointed to one-year contracts annually at the June Board meeting.  The usual contract term will be the first day of September to the last day of August of the following year.  Shorter contracts may be recommended in appropriate circumstances.  The resolution changed the notice of the non-renewal of contracts time frame from six months for under five years and one year for more than five years with 60 days notice.

The change also requires that managerial employees receive a yearly evaluation.

The evaluation procedure and 60-day notice is being implemented for the 2009-10 contracts.

Training occurred during the month of January on the new formats and timeline. Your direct supervisor will be contacting you with the timeline for completing, reviewing and conducting evaluation meetings for his/her area(s).
