Office of Development

About

The Development Office has the responsibility for corporate and foundation fund raising as well as the annual fund. This office also prepares publications for development functions and fund-raising activities. All fund-raising activities are done on behalf of the Rowan University Foundation. Specific development areas include the following: Annual Fund, Corporate & Foundation Relations and Development Publications.

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund solicits yearly gifts to the Rowan University Foundation from alumni, friends, faculty, staff, parents and corporations through a phonathon, direct mail and in-person solicitation. Contributions to the Annual Fund provide merit scholarships, enhanced educational programs and learning resources for Rowan University. Alumni events and programs are also funded through the Annual Fund’s efforts.

Corporate & Foundation Relations

Corporate and Foundation Relations collaborates with corporations, foundations and organizations locally, regionally and nationally to match their interests with appropriate University initiatives. The corporate and foundation program cultivates financial commitments and mutually beneficial relationships between the University and industry. These partnerships enable Rowan University to enhance its academic, research and service missions. All faculty fund-raising activity with corporations, foundations and organizations must be endorsed by the Development Office prior to any contact. Development Publications

Development Publications handles the writing, design and production of development literature, including proposals, brochures, reports, invitations and mailings. In addition, Development Publications assists with the production of alumni-related mailings, invitations and literature.
