TONY ROSATI: Paintings and Prints

Opening Reception: October 2, 2008, 5 - 6:30 PM (with Gallery Talk)

Rowan University Art Gallery is pleased to host acclaimed master printer and painter Tony Rosati. A graduate of Tyler School of Art and Rider College, Rosati is currently the Chair of the Printmaking Department at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. This exhibit features recent monotypes and paintings. His subject matter of landscape is presented both realistically and using lyrical abstraction. Distorting color and form, Rosati addresses feelings of yearning in his visual expression of nature. His work is represented in a number of major public collections including the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Rosati will be leading a Gallery Talk on Saturday September 27 at 11 AM. The public is invited to participate at no admission. A brochure is available for this exhibit.

Please note: a special "Preview" Gallery Talk will take place with Tony on September 27, @ 11 AM as part of Rowan University Family Weekend. All welcome and free of charge.
