ELAINE M. ERNE: Drawings and Prints - October 12th through November 14th

Elaine M. Erne is a Philadelphia-based artist who creates large-scale graphite drawings as well as lithographic prints. Her most recent series is titled "The Lives and Traumas of Stuffed Animals" that features imagery serving as an allegory for children in abusive situations. The drawings are commanding in their size and labor intensive application of layers of graphite, averaging between 6 - 9 months to complete. Erne's works have been widely exhibited in Philadelphia, Baltimore and New York. 

Erne completed her undergraduate work at Carnegie Mellon University and her graduate at Tyler School of Art.  Additional studies were undertaken at Pilchuck Glass School. Erne's works have been widely exhibited in Philadelphia, Baltimore and New York.
