Current Students

Rowan University at Camden provides academic support services for students attending classes in Camden . The student services include: registration, advising, tutoring, counseling and various other services. Programs and services offered by Rowan at Camden complement the academic programs of the campus and university. In addition to the support services located in the Camden facility, students taking courses at Rowan at Camden may also use the library and recreational facility of Rutgers-Camden.

University District Bookstore
Rowan University along with Rutgers-Camden and Camden County College-Camden operate a bookstore known as the University District Bookstore. Students taking courses at Rowan at Camden can purchase their textbooks at the University District Bookstore. The bookstore has everything that you need for college. They have a large selection of new and used textbooks for students. Also featured are a great selection of officially licensed Rowan clothing and gifts, academic-priced software, snacks, reference materials, and greeting cards. There is also a cyber café located in the store with great food. Students may use their Rowan card throughout the bookstore.

Computing Services
Our facility houses 65+ PCs. One lab is dedicated to teaching and is equipped with an LCD projector. There are also two open labs. Open lab hours are as follow:

Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Student Organizations
The Alliance of United Cultures, provides a host of diverse programs and events for the student body of Rowan University at Camden. During the early part of the fall semester a Welcome Back Party is sponsored for new and returning students. During the month of November, students organize a series of programs in celebration of Hispanic heritage. In recognition of the winter holidays, the organization hosts a and toy drive The student organizations also organize events to commemorate Hispanic Heritage, Black History and Women's History months.

The officers for Fall 2007-Spring 2008 are:

Library Services
Rowan at Camden students can conduct research while taking classes in Camden by using the Rutgers-Camden Paul Robeson Library. Rowan at Camden students have full access to the facility and ability to check-out books. In order to use the library, Rowan at Camden students must have a valid student identification card.

Ms. Donna Wertheimer, Reference Librarian, is available to assist all Rowan at Camden students, however, any member of the library is willing to help you with your academic assignments.

Recreational Activities and Facilities
Rowan at Camden students interested in recreational services can take advantage of a collaboration between Rowan and Rutgers-Camden. Students can use the Rutgers-Camden gymnasium which is equipped with a main and auxiliary gym, weight room, four handball/racquetball courts, four squash courts, and a six-lane Olympic-size pool.

Rowan at Camden students will need a valid Rowan identification card. Rowan at Camden students will also need a Rutgers-Camden sticker on their Rowan i.d. You may obtain the sticker by visiting the Rutgers-Camden Office for Student Affairs which is located in Armitage Hall on the second floor. For more information you may call (856) 225-6044.

Parking
Students enrolled in courses at Rowan at Camden have two options for parking:

  • Students may purchase a University decal for $20.00 which entitles the student to parking at the Glassboro campus.
  • Students may park in the Camden County College parking garage and pay a daily/monthly/semester fee. For more information please contact Camden County College at (856) 338-1817.

Camden-Glassboro Shuttle
Students in courses at Rowan at Camden may also take courses, attend events and activities at the Glassboro campus. A university shuttle travels daily between the Camden and Glassboro campuses for students. The shuttle is free and students may obtain passes from the secretary on the second floor.
