High School ELL seniors taking college preparatory classes at
Rowan University at Camden

The English Language Program at Rowan University has expanded its college preparatory academic ESL courses to high school seniors who meet the participation requirements.

Students will attend classes at Rowan University at Camden during their regular school hours as part of their high school curriculum. Eligible students may take courses for college credit.

Students will have access to the numerous services available to all Rowan students. In addition, Rowan staff will meet regularly with the ACE students to assist them in the college application process as well as provide workshops designed to prepare students for the expectations and rigors of university life.

The Program Includes:
• College preparatory classes Monday through Thursday from 1:15 – 3:15
• Books and materials
• Assistance with college application process
• Workshops to prepare students for college

Requirements for participation:
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5*
• Completion of basic coursework at the high school
• Intermediate or higher English proficiency
• Recommendation of high school guidance counselor and at least one teacher
• Desire to enroll in college

*students interested in courses for college credit will need a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
