Rowan University at Camden
Welcome
We have a long standing tradition of providing education to a diverse group of students. We recognize that many students are faced with family and personal responsibilities in addition to their desires to study at the university. We provide a schedule to accommodate the needs of the traditional and non-traditional students. The courses at Rowan at Camden are taught by members of the university faculty who take pride in teaching. The class sizes are small enough for students to have direct contact with the faculty. To better assist students we have developed collaborations with our neighbor institutions – Rutgers University and Camden County College. We share the library, recreational facility, parking and the new University District Bookstore. In addition to assisting students with their academic goals, many of the staff are involved in the local community. For the past 20 years, our CHAMP/GEAR-UP program has assisted Camden students in applying and attending colleges and universities throughout the country. Welcome to the Website for Rowan University at Camden. Rowan has been part of the Camden community for over 35 years. We have experienced positive growth from our early beginnings as Glassboro State Urban Center providing training for local teachers and assistants, to a growing branch campus with academic majors, general education courses, ESL and EOF programs and many other academic and student services.
