The Clarence W. Miller Alumni/Music Department Scholarship Choral Concert & Room Dedication welcomes choir alumni and friends performing with the current Rowan Concert Choir, under the direction of Christopher Thomas. The special program features more than 150 voices singing with orchestral, brass, organ and piano accompaniment and showcases works by such composers as Copland, Faure, Dello Joio, Orff and more.

Clarence Miller joined the Glassboro State College faculty in 1956 and founded the university?s Concert Choir, taught voice and conducting and chaired the vocal choral division at various times. He finished his tenure at Rowan in 1992 after 36 years, and then joined the Gloucester County Community College faculty for five years. Miller died on July 30, 2007, at the age of 78.
Proceeds from the concert will support the Clarence Miller Music Scholarship.
