The Department of Music presents its inaugural Rowan Clarinet Day, an all-day event of concerts, clinics and master class, designed for professionals, amateurs, students, music educators and clarinet-enthusiasts of all ages and stages.
Rowan Clarinet Day 2012 is hosted by Rowan clarinet faculty members Rie Suzuki and Joshua Kovach. The featured artists and guests include Daniel Gilbert, Associate Professor at University of Michigan and a former member of The Cleveland Orchestra; pianist Donna Lee, Associate Professor at Kent State University; David Gould, Vandoren Artistic Advisor and Product Specialist; Mark Jacobi, Clarinet Repair Technician, and The Rowan Clarinet Quartet (Jessica Smith; Michael Gruender; Patrick Dolan; Joseph Allen). Additionally, there will be clarinet exhibits and try-outs by Buffet Crampon, Vandoren and Hammer Woodwinds.
