For anyone who is unable to visit the Rowan University Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site, who feel they may prepare their returns on their own, there is a new option. This year, the Rohrer College of Business will participate in free assistance through the MyFreeTaxes Partnership, which provides free state and federal tax preparation and filing assistance for individuals with adjusted gross income under $57,000. Rowan University Art Gallery presents the exhibit "Common Interests: mobility and transformation of public life" from January 22 through March 16.
"Common Interests" is a survey of projects that question how public space and public assets are managed, offering theoretical and practical ideas for reclaiming autonomy in public space. Working with sculpture, interventions, social practice, drawing, performance and video, the exhibiting artists reflect on the limitations and possibilities of public space, proposing new ways of accessing, navigating and improving these shared resources. Guest curated by Sara Reisman, the exhibition features work by Pierluigi Calignano, Sue Jeong Ka, Jonggeon Lee, Mary Mattingly, Diego Medina, Francesco Simeti, Tattfoo Tan, Lan Tuazon and Alex Villar.
Admission is free and open to the public. Regular gallery hours are Monday - Friday, 10 am - 5 pm (extended to 7 pm on Wednesday); and Saturday, 12 - 5 pm.

The Department of Theatre & Dance at Rowan University presents this affecting work, a celebration of the human spirit based on the true story of Charlotte Delbo, depicting the lives of 20 women sharing a barracks in Auschwitz who work to keep the strongest alive so there will be someone to share their experiences with the world.
Performances are February 21 at 8 pm; February 22, 23, 28 and March 1 and 2 at 7 and 9 pm; February 24 at 3 and 5 pm; and March 3 at 3 pm.
Seating is limited. Advanced reservations/ticket purchase advised.
