The book, which is being made into an HBO movie by Oprah Winfrey and Alan Ball, was named one of the best books in 2010 by more than 60 critics. All new Rowan students have read the book, as have many returning students, faculty, staff and administrators. For information about the program and upcoming book discussions, visit www.rowan.edu/commonreading. For information about Henrietta Lacks and Skloot, visit www.rebeccaskloot.com. "The film takes viewers on a journey from the Big Bang to the epic impact humans are having on the planet today." Join Dr. Mary Evelyn Tucker as she explores big science, big history, big story, in this one-of-a-kind film that she produced and co-wrote.
