Rowan University Art Gallery offers perspectives on its current exhibit - "Common Interests: mobility and transformation of public life? - with a talk by visiting curator Sara Reisman, Director of New York City?s Percent for Art Program. She will discuss artistic and curatorial projects in which contemporary art and the public realm intersect, providing context for the current exhibition. Reisman explores how artists, through their artwork, push against the physical limits and rules of public space, and recent models for sustainability. Included in her talk will be examples of how New York City has supported and encouraged these modes of public art in recent years.
