Working with sculpture, interventions, social practice, drawing, performance and video, the exhibiting artists reflect on the limitations and possibilities of public space, proposing new ways of accessing, navigating and improving these shared resources. The Rowan University Orchestra, under the direction of Salvatore Scarpa. presents the first of two concerts showcasing winners of the Department of Music's annual Student Soloist comeptition. The evening's program includes cellist Rachel Ellis performing Schumann's "Cello Concerto" and flutist Elizabeth Targett performing Khatchaturian?s "Flute Concerto.? The Orchestra will also perform Sibelius? "Karelia Overture," conducted by graduate student Lisa Miller, and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5.

Other winners from this year's competition will be featured at the orchestra's final concert of the semester on May 7.

This project provides selected libraries with a special collection of materials designed to promote understanding of the people, places, histories, beliefs, practices, and cultures of Muslims in the United States and around the world.

The Department of Theatre & Dance at Rowan University presents this affecting work, a celebration of the human spirit based on the true story of Charlotte Delbo, depicting the lives of 20 women sharing a barracks in Auschwitz who work to keep the strongest alive so there will be someone to share their experiences with the world.

Performances are February 21 at 8 pm; February 22, 23, 28 and March 1 and 2 at 7 and 9 pm; February 24 at 3 and 5 pm; and March 3 at 3 pm.

Seating is limited. Advanced reservations/ticket purchase advised.
