Rowan University featured in the Princeton Review's "The Best 301 Business Schools: 2010 Edition" | MoreRowan University Center for Addiction Studies Clinic The Rowan University Center for Addiction Studies Clinic is a fully licensed facility providing theraputic services for those experiencing problems with alcohol and drug use. The Clinic is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of dependence specialists with backgrounds in psychology, social work, and counseling. Substance Abuse Counseling Sometimes students feel that their substance use is interfering with day-to-day activities and/or leads to negative personal or legal consequences. Students may also come to college with a history of substance use. They may need help maintaining their sobriety or dealing with the consequences of a relapse. Our drug and alcohol counselors are available to talk with students no matter what their substance use related concern may be. Students can call the Center directly and set up an appointment with a substance abuse counselor. The Counselors Pamela M. Negro, M.S.W., LCADC, DRCC, SAC, received her Master’s degree from Rutgers University and is a licensed New Jersey alcohol/drug counselor. She is the director of the Rowan University Center for Addiction Studies & Awareness. She served as chair of the Education/Prevention Committee for six years on the New Jersey Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. She has also served on the New Jersey Higher Education Consortium as project coordinator since 1993. She has dedicated twenty-five years working in the field of addiction treatment, prevention and education. She is a well-known training specialist who has done presentations nationally and internationally on substance abuse issues. To contact Pamela, email her at negro@rowan.edu Robert Logan, BS, CADC, CPS, is a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor and a Nationally Certified Prevention Specialist for Substance Abuse. He has been in the field of substance abuse prevention and treatment for fifteen years and has provided counseling and substance abuse prevention education services to thousands of individuals and groups in his career. He currently directs the Gloucester County Intoxicated Driver Resource Center and is an appointed member of the DUI Task Force of the State of New Jersey, serves on the Gloucester County Highway Safety Task Force and is the Co-chair of the Gloucester County Provider Advisory Committee of Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
