Director's Welcome
Welcome!
As a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor, I am committed to providing prevention, education, and treatment methods regarding substance use and abuse. The Center for Addiction Studies & Awareness has been effective in developing prevention tools that can be used in elementary, secondary, and higher education institutions, as well as in the community at large. As the host institution for the New Jersey Higher Education Consortium, our office is constantly working towards reducing alcohol abuse and drug use on New Jersey college campuses. During various events on Rowan University’s campus, our office disseminates materials and resources to educate the student body on the array of drugs that are affecting college students. The Center for Addiction Studies & Awareness has produced a national award-winning video on heroin, and several other documentaries on ecstasy, marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, recovery schools, and alcohol and tobacco social norms. Our office also has a multi-disciplinary team of dependence specialists who can provide treatment that is tailored to each individual’s needs. Our services are available to any member of the Rowan University community, as well as residents in the surrounding area.
I am honored to serve as the Director of the Rowan University Center for Addiction Studies & Awareness. I hope that you will take the opportunity to visit our office or contact us regarding any issues related to substance use. I also invite you to explore our website to learn about the resources that are available to you at no cost.
