In this project, Rowan students were invited to participate in a survey about their drinking habits and what they thought about other Rowan students' drinking behaviors. The results of the survey showed a 10% reduction in high-risk drinking just in the first year of the program. Did you know? The amount of alcohol use on Rowan University's campus is actually less than what students perceive it to be. Most Rowan students drink 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 drinks when they party and do not binge drink when they go to the bar! This norm has been promoted back to the students via posters, giveaways, and events. Twelve Steps The Center for Addiction Studies & Awareness offers weekly Twelve Step meetings that are available to the Rowan community. These meetings are for any Rowan student who feels that alcohol and/or drugs have become a major problem in his or her life and are open to all students with an addiction problem. They are closed meetings.
Off-Campus AA and NA Meetings There are numerous AA, NA, and other 12 step meetings located around the Rowan campus. New Jersey Al-Anon and Alateen meetings Sponsored Activities CASA sponsors many activities on the Rowan campus. Check back often for new activities!
