My research interests include rubber-piezoceramic smart composites for vibration damping applications, polymer network modeling, simulation and optimization, and optical and mechanical experimentation methods at the macro- and nanoscales. I developed polymer network optimization software and am currently developing smart-rubber composites and nanoscale testing methods for rubbery materials.
My education interests include the use of virtual reality tools in solid mechanics, mechanics of continuous media, finite element methods, and other courses requiring visualization of either tensor fields or quantities that are normally invisible to the naked eye (i.e. stress and strain).
