The Summer Institute in
Materials Science at Rowan University will provide local high school students an unique opportunity to learn how different scientific disciplines contribute to materials science, and about educational and career opportunities in this field. During the one-week program, students will learn about the science that goes into the development, testing and applications of new materials. They will be involved in a variety of hands-on activities and will benefit from the participation of both faculty and students from Rowan University, as well as representatives of local industry. Students will learn about research in materials science conducted by faculty and students at Rowan University.
