Important note:
Please make sure you are not connected to the Rowan VPN client when running the Citrix Receiver. The VPN negatively impacts the speed of the Citrix Receiver.

Installation Instructions

Click the appropriate “Citrix Receiver” download link to begin. You will be prompted to save the file “RC-CitrixReceiver-10.5.dmg” to your computer.

After you have downloaded the “RC-CitrixReceiver-10.5.dmg” file, find and open the file on your computer. A Citrix Receiver box will appear. Click “Install Citrix Online Plug-in.pkg” to begin.

A security dialogue may appear, alerting you that the installer will run a program to determine if the software can be installed. Click “Continue” on this box to proceed.

At the start of the installation, you will be taken to an installer introduction screen. Click “Continue” to proceed.

You will be taken to the License Agreement page. Click “Continue” to proceed.

The installer will ask you to confirm that you agree to the terms of the software license agreement. Click “Agree” to proceed.

If the installers asks you to choose a destination for the software, select to install the software to your local hard drive. Then, click “Continue” to proceed.

On the next page, select “Install” to begin installing the Citrix Receiver.

Your computer will ask for your Macintosh user account name and password to verify the install. Type your Mac password and click “Install Software” to proceed.

The installation may take a few minutes to complete.

Once the installation has nearly completed, you will be asked if you would like to open Citrix Dazzle now. Check the box if you would like to launch Rowan Virtual Apps immediately after the installation has finished.

Once the installation is compete, click “Close” to finish the process.

Launching Citrix Dazzle

The Citrix Receiver for Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) is named Citrix Dazzle. Dazzle is named Receiver on all other devices. To launch Citrix Dazzle, open Finder and navigate to Applications > Citrix > Dazzle.

When you first open the Citrix Receiver, a dialogue box will appear to alert you that no Dazzle stores have been configured. Click “OK” to configure Dazzle to access Rowan Virtual Apps.

Note: You only need to configure the Dazzle Store once. Once it is setup when you run Dazzle it will bring up the Dazzle store listed below.

You will be taken to a Citrix Online Plug-in preferences box. In the “Dazzle Stores” section, you will see an empty box under the “Stores:” text. Underneath this empty box, click the plus (+) sign to proceed.

A dialogue box will appear, asking you to provide a Store Name and Store URL. Enter “Rowan Apps” as store name. Then, copy and paste the following URL into the “Store URL” box:

Click “OK” to proceed. The Rowan App store will now appear in the Dazzle Stores area. You can now close the preference pane.

Accessing Citrix Dazzle Applications

When you launch Dazzle after you configured the Dazzle Store (you only need to configure the store once) you will be asked for your username and password. In the Username field, type “rowanads\” followed by your Rowan network username. So for example, if your Rowan network username is “abcxyz34”, you would type “rowanads\abcxyz34” in this field.

After you’ve entered the Domain\User field, type your Rowan network password into the Password field. You can optionally choose to add the username and password to your keychain so that you do not have to provide your login information every time you launch Rowan Apps. Once you are ready to log in, click “Connect” to proceed.

Using Rowan Virtual Apps

In the Citrix Dazzle application, you will be provided with a list of Rowan Virtual Apps that you can launch directly from your computer. Click “Add” on any of the desired Apps to add them to your Applications menu in Finder.
