Download Citrix Receiver for Windows

Important note:
Please make sure you are not connected to the Rowan VPN client when running the Citrix Receiver. The VPN negatively impacts the speed of the Citrix Receiver.

Installation Instructions

Click the appropriate “Citrix Receiver” download link to begin. If you receive a prompt asking you to run or save the file “RC-CitrixReceiver.exe”, choose to save the file to your computer.


After you have saved the file, find it on your computer and double-click the file to open it. If a security dialogue box appears, click Run to begin installing the Citrix Receiver.

Once the application begins to install, you may need to wait a few minutes for the installation to finish.

After the installation is successful, you can click “OK” to exit the Citrix installer. The computer will reboot automatically.

Launching XenApp

Now that the Citrix Receiver is installed on your computer, you can launch it at any time by opening the “Citrix” folder in your Start menu and clicking the “Receiver” application.

You can also launch the Citrix Receiver by right-clicking the Citrix Receiver icon in your Windows taskbar and navigating to Online Sessions > Logon to Refresh Applications in the menu that appears.

Logging into XenApp

Rowan owned Windows 7 computers
Citrix Receiver is configured to login automatically start when you login to your computer.

All other Windows computers
After you’ve launched the Citrix Receiver, a dialogue box will appear asking you to provide a username and password to log in. In the Domain\User field, type “rowanads\” followed by your Rowan network username. So for example, if your Rowan network username is “abcxyz34”, you would type “rowanads\abcxyz34” in this field.


After you’ve entered the Domain\User field, Type your Rowan network password into the Password field and click “Log On” to proceed.

Once you’ve logged in to Citrix, a RowanCloud folder will appear in your Start Menu.

Click on RowanCloud to expand the folder and view the applications that are available for use. You can click any of the available applications to begin using them on your computer.
