To participate you must be certified as a VITA Volunteer.
Certification requires the following:
1. Attend one of the training sessions listed below:
Friday, January 25, 2013 12:00pm-2:00pm Bunce 156

As the computer lab only accommodates 30 students, a sign-up sheet is available in the Dean’s Office for you to sign up for a training session that best fits your schedule. Please be reminded that no more than 30 may sign up for a session.
2. The “Link and Learn” training feature will be utilized in the training process. Link & Learn may be accessed at https://www.linklearncertification.com/ Some of the training will be self study. All volunteers (returning or new) must pass the student basic test at https://www.linklearncertification.com/ with a grade of 80 or better.
3. All students must complete the Standards of Conduct Certification Test, which must be completed prior to attending the training session. https://www.linklearncertification.com/d/
4. All students must turn in the test printout with their score and a signed copy of the volunteer agreement to Maragaret Van Brunt in the Dean’s Office, Bunce 218.
Every student who completes the training and passes the appropriate test will receive a card indicating that she/he has satisfactorily completed the required course of instruction and is certified as a volunteer by VITA.
VITA volunteer services will be held in the Keith and Shirley Campbell Library on Tuesdays from 9AM to 1PM and Wednesdays from 4PM to 8PM from February 5, 2013 through April 10, 2013 (excluding the week of spring break). We will also offer two Saturdays from 10AM to 2PM on February 23, 2013 and March 9, 2013. We also have the opportunity to assist at another location in Mantua Township. Students will assist senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, individuals with low incomes, and other students in the preparation of their basic income tax returns. The Rowan VITA site offers electronic filing.
NOTE: If you are unable to make one of the training sessions, please see Margaret Van Brunt in the Dean’s Office, Bunce 218 for information.
