ROWAN UNIVERSITY DANCE EXTENSIONS PRESENTS:
In Glassboro, NJ, Rowan University’s Contemporary Dance Company, Dance Extensions, premiers its latest performance at the University’s Tohill Theatre, Bunce Hall April 26, 27, 28 at 8 PM and April 29 at 3 PM.
Conceived, choreographed and directed by Paule Turner, Revelations features set design by student Matheus Fiuza ‘14, lighting design by Robert Thorpe and costume design by Heidi Barr. The piece portrays today’s troubled youth hurling towards a disastrous future. Apocalyptic in theme, Revelations depicts the state of our current world, in which if society does not quickly pay attention and work collaboratively towards solutions, we are headed toward a disastrous future. Set to a rebellious punk and heavy metal soundtrack, Revelations promises to be a tour-de-force dance performance that is socially conscience and relevant.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door of Tohill Theatre.
Proceeds will benefit the organization’s outreach programs including the Multicultural Dance Team at C.W. Lewis Middle School as well as other philanthropic opportunities to promote scholarship amongst dancers.
