The Inter Greek Council (IGC) is the umbrella organization which recognizes and oversees all Greek-lettered organizations on Rowan University’s campus. The IGC coordinates programming and education with the IFC, NPC, NPHC, and GCOC.  Members strive to increase cooperation and communication between the Greek community and the rest of the Rowan University community. The IGC's membership is comprised of all Greek organizations on Rowan's campus.

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) at Rowan University is the governing body of six traditionally social fraternities and one service fraternity on campus. The IFC serves as the representative body, which guides, supports, and develops the fraternity system. Some of the many goals of the IFC are:

  • represent fraternity interests to campus and the surrounding community,
  • sponsor educational programs and leadership development opportunities with chapters,
  • coordinate membership recruitment activities,
  • promote and coordinate community service and philanthropy, and
  • coordinate intramural sports among fraternities.

Rowan University’s National Panhellenic Conference (NPC/Panhel) is comprised of the members of the five groups that are members of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), the governing body for 26 national women's fraternities and sororities.

In joining a sorority at Rowan, a woman becomes a member not only of her respective organization, but also of the sorority community, a community that encompasses more than 250 members.  These women work together on philanthropic projects, recruitment activities, and the advancement of Greek Affairs at Rowan University. Panhellenic provides many opportunities for involvement in campus life and the Greek community outside an individual sorority. Together the council members strive for overall Greek unity, while working to unite sorority women and strengthen their values through cooperation, common interests, talents, and skills brought from each chapter.

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) at Rowan University is made up of the members of the eight historically black fraternities and sororities on the campus. The council’s purpose is to promote unity and expose members to the “service for life” philosophy and foster leadership development and scholarship. Furthermore, NPHC provides a forum for participation and interaction among the members of the devine nine organizations and the organizations that falls under the IGC umbrella.
