Theta Phi Alpha
Gamma Delta Chapter

Theta Phi Alpha focuses its philanthropic efforts around caring for those less fortunate then themselves especially in their local communities. Theta Phi Alpha’s national philanthropies include The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built, Glenmary Home Missioners, and Camp Friendship. Locally, the Gamma Delta chapter at Rowan focuses on philanthropies that are closely connected to their sisters. Theta Phi Alpha’s mascot is the penguin, symbol of friendship, their flower is the white rose, and their colors are silver, gold, and blue. Founded on the principles of justice, loyalty, wisdom, faith, truth, honor and above all, sisterhood, Theta Phi Alpha continues to grow. The Gamma Delta chapter has leaders in many organizations on campus including Residence Assistants, PROS, Admissions Ambassadors, and Student Center Staff to name a few. The Chapter’s recent accomplishments include winning the service award, placing first in the 2006 Homecoming Parade, placing second in Greek Week 2007, and placing third in Homecoming 2007 and Greek Week 2008.

Theta Phi Alpha's national organization was founded on August 30th, 1912 and on Rowan's campus on December 14th, 2002.
