SGA Offers 5 Scholarships
In Honor of Dr. Michener – Former Vice President of Public Safety
"On behalf of the SGA, we understand that the student body has recently voiced concerns regarding election requirements and the efforts of our President. This past Monday, a resolution was proposed at Senate to impeach and remove the SGA President, Tom Holroyd. Prior to, the Executive Board evaluated the resolution, and each member voted based on what he/she felt Tom was or was not at fault for. With our students in mind, we support the Senate’s final decision to deny the resolution. SGA has been and will remain the voice of the student body.
On Wednesday, March 27, a meeting was held in accordance with SGA grievance guidelines to address student grievances filed regarding the AVP of Governmental Relations position. The Election Commission voted to reopen the AVP position. Applications will be accepted up until noon on April 9, campaigning will continue until the 12th and voting will take place, via banner, between the 15th and the 18th until midnight. Applications can be submitted to the SGA suite or emailed to the Election Commissioner John Logue at elections@rowan.edu. The new appointee will be announced in a Rowan Announcer 24 hours after the close of the election and again at Senate on April 22. We are glad we have resolved this issue and would like to thank all those who brought it to light."
