Alumni Advisory Council Mission Statement

The mission of the College of Business Administration (COB) Alumni Advisory Council is to support the College of Business's efforts to provide challenging undergraduate and master level business programs and maintain the standards required for accreditation by the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Further: The Alumni Advisory Council provides constructive review and comment to the College of Business on the COB's current and proposed goals and objectives. Through ongoing feedback and activities, the Council supplements the COB's efforts to improve the curriculum, enrich students' education and experiences, motivate and recognize COB faculty and other educators, facilitiate student organizations. These collective efforts enable the College of Business Administration Alumni Advisory Council to enrich the experience of COB students and increase the value of a degree from Rowan University's College of Business.

Activites essential to the performance of this mission may include but are not limited to:

  • Review and advise on the COB's strategic direction through periodic review of the strategic plan, mission statement, objectives and goals, and curriculum and course offerings - promote continued development and recognition of COB faculty efforts.
  • Advise COB students of internship opportunities.
  • Offer mentoring to COB students.
  • Encourage linkage between alumni and/or associated businesses with COB students.
  • Attend and support COB events such as the Freshmen Dinner with the Dean and BOBA Banquet.
  • Act as an advocate for Rowan University and the College of Business.
