Margaret Van Brunt
Margaret Van Brunt, Assistant Dean for the Rohrer College of Business. Margaret earned her degree from Rutgers University and is a Certified Public Accountant. She joined Rowan University in 1980 as an adjunct faculty member teaching Individual Taxation, and Taxation of Business Entities. In 1984 she became a three-quarter time faculty member teaching Principles of Accounting I, Principles of Accounting II, Individual Taxation, and Taxation of Business Entities. In July, 1999 she became a member of the Dean's Office staff holding the position of Assistant to the Dean and now currently Assistant Dean. She assists the Dean in all areas of the operation of the Rohrer College of Business. She serves as an ex-officio member of the Chair's Council, Undergraduate Policy and Curriculum Committee, and Assurance of Learning Committee. She is the faculty advisor to the Bureau of Business Associations. In addition, she directs the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program on campus. Margaret recently coordinated the Rowan University Employee Charitable Campaign. Prior to coming to Rowan, she worked in the tax departments of Deloitte LLC and IU International Corporation. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. Currently, she is serving as Vice-President of the Southwest Jersey Chapter of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as serving on the editorial board of NJCPA Magazine where she has authored numerous articles.
