Noelle A. Connor Noelle Connor is an attorney who brings fifteen years of legal experience, six years of teaching experience and five years as an activist in the human trafficking movement to her position as Managing Attorney of Free to Flourish. Based in Mullica Hill, Free to Flourish is focusing our expertise in New Jersey, with the goal of creating a legal model for other states to follow. Over the course of her career, Noelle has done both plaintiff and defense work. She successfully defended insurance companies in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as effectively representing lenders as plaintiffs in Pennsylvania foreclosure actions. While in private practice, Noelle represented small businesses, providing legal advice on employee and vendor relations as well as representing clients in commercial real estate transactions. Throughout Noelle's career, she has always been involved in training and management. In her first post-law school position, she provided training to attorneys and non-attorneys on handling insurance subrogation claims in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Illinois and Georgia. During this time she was also managing a unit of six subrogation recovery professionals in New York, New York. As a sole practitioner, Noelle developed a client base and managed all aspects of a legal practice. For the past six years, Noelle has been teaching Legal Environment of Business (Business Law) to undergraduates at Rowan University for the Management/Entrepreneurship Department. The course focuses on areas where legal issues arise at all levels in a business setting, including constitutional law, employment relationships, corporate social responsibility and business ethics. As part of this position, Noelle manages the curriculum, the classroom environment, grades, attendance, communication with the department and students, as well as attending relevant continuing education and professional development courses. In 2008, Noelle was introduced to the issue of human trafficking and modern-day slavery when she attended a legal conference hosted by the National Association of Counsel for Children. She subsequently became passionately involved, on a volunteer basis, in the movement to end all forms of human trafficking. Noelle's expertise on this issue was developed over the next five years through avid reading on the subject, closely following the progression of national laws and their enforcement in this arena and attendance at numerous awareness events, including the annual New Jersey Human Trafficking Awareness Day. Since founding Free to Flourish in 2012, Noelle has created and implemented awareness initiatives and events at locations throughout New Jersey. She has been interviewed as an expert spokesperson in NJ newspapers and on radio programs. Noelle has been the featured speaker at numerous local venues including Rowan University and has spoken, by request, to various professional audiences, including school leaders and healthcare professionals. She has attended both Continuing Legal Education courses on Representing the Pro Bono Client and Remedies for Victims of Human Trafficking, among others, and human trafficking awareness events at Princeton University, Georgetown University, the NJ State House and in Philadelphia, PA. Washington, D.C. and New York, N.Y. Noelle has a comprehensive familiarity with the New Jersey Human Trafficking Protection, Prevention and Treatment Act of 2013. Free to Flourish is a member of the New Jersey Human Trafficking Task Force.
