Michael Carbone, President Metro Philadelphia Market, TD Bank

Michael Carbone is Senior Vice President, TD Bank Group and Regional President for TD Bank’s Metro PA/NJ Market, which comprises Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, Coastal New Jersey and Central New Jersey. He oversees all retail and commercial bank services and profit centers, consumer and commercial lending and government banking within the market.

Prior to taking the helm of TD Bank’s Metro PA/NJ Market, Michael was Senior Vice President and Market Manager for the South Jersey and Delaware Market. He led that region’s outstanding growth and was instrumental in building the largest market share for any bank operating in South Jersey.

Michael has been a banker for twenty-six years. Michael started his career with First Fidelity Bank in 1986. He then moved on to work for United Jersey Bank South as their Assistant Vice President, where he held a variety of community lending positions.

Michael is active in community organizations, including the Juvenile Diabetes
Foundation (2006 honorary) and Volunteers of America (presented the leadership award for 2007). Michael recently was named the Walter Rand Institute honoree of the year for South Jersey. He was named the “Man of the Year” by the Boys and Girls Club of Camden County in 2010. Mike is also involved with Catholic Education initiatives in Camden.

Michael is a member of the Rohrer College of Business Executive Advisory Council, a current Board Member of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Chamber’s CEO Council for Growth and a member of the CEO Access Network of Greater Philadelphia. Michael serves on the Select Greater Philadelphia Operating Committee (Board), as well as Chair of their Finance Committee. He is Chairman of the Board of the Committee of Seventy. He recently joined the Executive Board for Penn Cardiovascular Institute. Mike is on the Regional Board of United Way of Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey He is a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Home Port Alliance for the USS New Jersey; the Board of Trustees of the Greater Camden Partnership and the Board of Directors of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia. Mike was former Vice Chairman and Board member of the Camden County College Foundation and Board member of the United Way of Camden County, American Cancer Society, Southern New Jersey Development Council Banking Committee and Cooperative Business Assistance Corp. Banking Committee.

Michael is a graduate of Rowan University (formerly Glassboro State College), where he earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Economics and has Accreditation in Advanced Financial Analysis from Michigan University in 1987. He is married and has one son. His hobbies include golf and reading.
