Robert Friedman

Mr. Friedman is currently the Regional Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Leader for the Americas Region of Siemens Healthcare. In this role, he provides EHS support to Siemens Healthcare businesses headquartered in the Americas Region. Mr. Friedman is part of the global Siemens Healthcare Sector EHS department.

Mr. Friedman co-leads the global Siemens Healthcare environmentally conscious design (ECD) team and was one of the authors of the Siemens Healthcare ECD procedure and Siemens Healthcare EHS management system standard. He is convenor of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) working group that is creating a material declaration standard, as well as a member of the US Technical Advisory Groups to IEC Technical Committees TC111 (environmentally conscious design) and TC62A (medical devices). Mr. Friedman was recently nominated by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to be the US representative to the IEC Advisory Committee on Environmental Aspects (ACEA).

Prior to working for Siemens Healthcare, Mr. Friedman was Manager, Environmental Engineering for Siemens Corporation, where he provided EHS technical, compliance and management consulting services to Siemens US companies.

Mr. Friedman also worked for Motorola, Inc. in various EHS and manufacturing engineering roles.

Mr. Friedman holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
