Marketing & Business Information Systems

Rowan University

Major in Management Information Systems

Management Information Systems has been an identified program of study at Rowan University (formerly Glassboro State College) almost since the inception of the business college (initially Administrative Studies) in 1971. The Rohrer College of Business has offered a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems since fall of 2007. In February, 2009, the MIS programs and faculty were moved to the Marketing Department and the department was renamed, Marketing and Business Information Systems.

Our MIS students are extraordinarily well-prepared for work in information systems. MIS students are expected to have three areas of distinct competency: business knowledge, technical skills and interpersonal skills.

The MIS program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, There are few programs that have accreditation from both accrediting bodies.
