Are Exporters and Non-Exporters Different? An Organizational Culture Perspective"

The current literature suggests that organizational culture has a significant effect on a firm's strategic move. The present study attempts to determine if the organizational culture of exporting firms differs from that of non-exporting firms. The study examines the organizational differences with four different corporate values; market, adhocracy, clan, and hierarchy cultures. The results indicate that exporting and non-exporting firms significantly differ in terms of clan and market cultures. No differences in hierarchy culture and adhocracy culture exist between non-exporters and exporters.
