Delivery of Emergency Services: A Supply Chain Perspective
In recent years, supply chain management has become a topic of growing interest to both the academic and practitioner communities. Much of this interest has related to building a strategic framework to analyze supply chains in the interest of ensuring a strategic fit. While the vast majority of this work has concentrated on for-profit businesses, limited emphasis has been devoted to non-profit service organizations, such as emergency services. This paper presents a conceptual perspective to supply chain management within emergency services.
