Enhancing Multiculturalism for Nontraditional Students
A multicultural environment is crucial in the business school setting. Business students at a state university were surveyed to determine whether they had participated in any college activities that involved interations with people of different cultures and if so, which ones. It was found that nontraditional students were interacting less with people from diverse cultures than traditional students. It was also found that students predominantly interacted with those of other cultures through activities of clubs and Greek organizations. Eight recommendations are made to help nontraditional students' chances for interactions with diverse groups.
