Organizational and Managerial Characteristics as Antecedents of Export Performance: A Behavioral Approach
The purpose of this study is to integrate the existing export and strategy literatures in order to better understand how managerial and organizational behavioral variables influence the export performance of a firm. A conceptual model is presented that shows relationships among three organizational behavior variables, managerial behaviors and export performance. Discovering the organizational characteristics that may serve as facilitators or inhibitors of successful export ventures can benefit both firms and public policy makers.
