ITAL 04.101 & ITAL 04.102 - 3 s.h. each
Elementary Italian I and II
These introductory courses are open to students who have not previously studied Italian. These courses study Italian language structures and patterns and offer practice in articulating these patterns. They also give some attention to other language skills, such as listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing.

ITAL 04.201 & ITAL 04.211 - 3 s.h. each
Intermediate Italian I and II
These courses are open to students who have had some limited contact with the Italian language. They survey grammar and language patterns and offer expanded practice particularly in speaking and reading in the language.
