Kurt and Anny Landsberger Scholarship for Environmental Studies

This scholarship recognizes the efforts of a student pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies. Priority will be given to Essex County high school graduates. Financial need may be considered. This scholarship can be renewed if the student continues to meet requirements. Priority will also be given to students who can demonstrate a commitment to environmental issues by their past and present involvement in environmental action/protection groups.

Gregg Kaulfers Scholarship

This scholarship honors the memory of Gregg Kaulfers and recognizes his love of Geography and his compassion to others. The recipient must be matriculated, enrolled full-time and in good standing with the University. There will be one recipient.

Recognition Awards

Delaware Valley Geographical Association - This award is presented at the DVGA Annual Spring Dinner to an outstanding geography major and outstanding Secondary Education/Geography concentration major with the highest GPA in the graduating class. Must be a graduating senior (end of the current academic year).

Medallion for GIS Excellence – Sponsored by Richard A. Scott - This medallion is presented to a graduating senior (end of the current academic year) who excels in the field of GIS. Must have completed 45 s.h. of coursework at Rowan prior to the spring semester of the current academic year. Must have a record of outstanding performance in coursework required for environmental studies degree. In general, a cumulative GPA greater than 3.5 for all coursework completed at Rowan University. Must have an outstanding record of involvement in research and/or volunteer opportunities within the university or within the environmental community.

Environmental Studies Medallion Award – This medallion is presented to a graduating senior (end of the current academic year) who excels in the field of environmental studies. Must have completed 45 s.h. of coursework at Rowan prior to the spring semester of the current academic year. Must have a record of outstanding performance in coursework required for environmental studies degree. In general, a cumulative GPA greater than 3.5 for all coursework completed at Rowan University. Must have an outstanding record of involvement in research and/or volunteer opportunities within the university or within the environmental community.

CHSS Dean's Senior Recognition Award- The College of Humanities and Social Science presents a Senior Recognition Award to a graduating senior from each department within the college. One outstanding graduating senior from the Department of Geography & Environment will be selected each spring.
