Rowan hosts the New Jersey State Geography Bee

Rowan University and the New Jersey Geography Alliance (housed at Rowan University) is proud to host the New Jersey State Geography Bee for the fifth year in a row on Friday, April 4, 2014. Approximately 100 finalists from across the state of New Jersey will participate. Assemblyman Paul Moriarty will be the moderator for the final round of the New Jersey Geographic Bee. Family and friends of the participants, interested educators, and members of the surrounding community are invited to attend the final round of the event, which will begin at approximately1:30pm in the Eynon Ballroom, Chamberlain Student Center.
The Geography Bee program is a national education competition sponsored by the National Geographic Society designed to encourage the teaching and study of geography which promotes a deeper understanding of our world in our young people. Schools from all 50 U.S. states, the U.S. territories, and the U.S. Department of Defense schools can participate in the National Geographic Bee.
