College of Humanities & Social Sciences
Seeking CHSS Match Interns
Date: Applications due Friday, September 5, 2014
Looking for an opportunity to earn academic credit this year while helping fellow students gain real-world work experience? The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) is seeking two student interns to work with the Career Management Center in Savitz Hall to continue the success of our CHSS Match program (www.rowan.edu/chssmatch).
As one of our interns, you will receive training to establish professional relationships with employers, maintain a job database of employers and students, provide internship placement assistance, and conduct resume critiques, mock interviews, and other pre-employment training activities. We are looking for students who have earned 30 credits or more and can demonstrate Microsoft applications proficiency, a professional attitude, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. While you earn academic credit as an intern within the Career Management Center, you will also be gaining valuable experience to enhance your own resume.
If you are interested in learning more, please send an e-mail to Stephanie Easterday (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Friday, September 5. Attach a resume if you have one, and also include a brief explanation of why you believe you have the skills and enthusiasm to work with the Career Management Center as one of our CHSS Match interns. Interns can apply to work for the fall semester (3 credits) or for both fall and spring semesters (6 credits).
