In Memoriam: Dr. Nathan Carb
Date: June 30, 2012
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Dr. Nathan Carb. He died peacefully at his home on June 30, 2012 after a long illness.
Dr. Carb has the distinction of being one of the longest-serving professors at our institution. He retired in May 2011 after 52 years of service in the English Department.
A memorial service will be held in the fall to honor Dr. Carb's life and his ability to inspire both students and colleagues. You can also commemorate his accomplishments by making donations to the Rowan University Foundation-Nathan Carb Scholarship Fund (https://giving.rufoundation.org). This scholarship was established in 2009 as part of the English Department's celebration of Dr. Carb's 50th anniversary of teaching at GSC/Rowan. Also, feel free to send your personal condolences to the English Department, c/o Cathy Parrish (firstname.lastname@example.org), who will forward them to the Carb family. Please keep Dr. Carb's family in your thoughts and prayers.
