The Certificate and Medallion Award in Africana Studies

Students who successfully complete the Concentration receive a Certificate in Africana Studies at graduation. In addition, a Medallion Award for Excellence in Africana Studies is presented to the graduating senior with (1) the highest GPA in themajor (a GPA of 3.0 or better in the major), (2) an overall GPA of 3.0 as a minimum, and (3) evidence of academic leadership or service.
