Rowan University Student/Faculty Exchange Program with the University of Osnabrueck

The Student/Faculty Exchange Program between Rowan University and the University of Osnabrueck in Germany began in 2001. Its purpose is to add an international element to the education of students from both schools, and to provide teaching opportunities and research possibilities for faculty members.

So far, more than 30 German students have taken classes at Rowan, and an equal number of Rowan students have visited the University of Osnabrueck. In addition, faculty members from each institution have lectured at the other university. Rowan and Osnabrueck students have also collaborated on and co-produced short films and documentaries.

Every other Spring semester, Rowan offers a seminar in German Media and Culture. The seminar culminates in a 10-day trip to Germany, where Rowan students live with students from the University of Osnabrueck, attend lectures there, and visit cities such as Berlin and Cologne.
