While
not required, all Radio/TV/Film students are encouraged to take a
Field Experience while they are in school. These internships are designed
to
give students a taste of what the real media world is like. Internships
range from traditional venues like TV and radio stations or a large
film
production company to smaller companies that might specialize in one
particular part of media research or production.
RTF students usually
intern at sites in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New
York. But internships can happen anywhere a site has an internship
program.
This summer two RTF students interned in TV stations in California.
RTF students
are learning about the diverse media world by interning at places
like NFL Films, TV and Radio stations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey
and New York, MTV/VH1, the Conan O’Brien Show, MSNBC, the
New Jersey Motion Picture Bureau, the History Channel, Comcast,
National Public Radio and hundreds of other exciting locations.
RTF faculty
advisors work with students to secure internships and monitor
them during the field experience.
