College of Communication
Welcome to the
College of Communication at Rowan University
As you browse through the pages of our website, I invite you to consider the impressive breadth of offerings, both curricular and non-curricular, in the College of Communication. The curriculum offered in each department challenges students to explore theoretical and practical issues of human communication and how we shape, and are shaped by, the rhetorical patterns in our cultures, institutions, and relationships. Our programs are staffed by active, engaged faculty members whose records of teaching, scholarship, and professional practice are truly impressive. Students in the college have the opportunity to gain experiential learning through internships (at for-profit and non-profit organizations throughout the country), practica (including engaging in research with faculty scholars), production courses (that give students experience in creating campaigns and media artifacts), and through student organizations (including the campus radio station, WGLS, and our Rowan newspaper, The Whit). It truly is a special place to work, to learn, and to enjoy. I hope you find yourself as intrigued and impressed as I am with the college, its faculty, staff, and students.
Please see the Fall 2009 College newsletter, Lines of Communication, for issues of recent interest.

I know I speak for the entire college when I say that we are happy to address any questions you may have about the college and to share with you our achievements and our plans for the future. We look forward to sharing our college with you!
