Mr. Salvatore Scarpa is Professor of Conducting, Trombone, Theory, and Director of the Rowan University Orchestras. He is also Associate Conductor of the Pennsylvania Ballet and Conductor of the Atlantic Brass Band. He holds degrees from Eastman School of Music (M.M.) and Rowan University (B.M.). His career as a trombonist has been focused on the world of jazz, popular music, and recording. He has also been a member of the Bay-Atlantic Symphony and performed extensively in classical venues. The Eastman Trombone Ensemble commissioned and performed his composition "Sonora." |
