Adam Kolek - Music Theory
Dr. Adam J. Kolek teaches courses in music theory. He received a Ph.D. in music theory from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and also holds degrees from Smith College and Skidmore College. His dissertation analyzed and interpreted the linear sequence of segments in collage music by the American composer John Zorn. Along with musical postmodernism, his research interests include popular music, film soundtrack, and music theory pedagogy.
