During this dynamic five-day camp, students will experience large ensemble performance, instrumental sectionals with University faculty, and take part in a student conducting workshop for those students with leadership interests. Hosted by The Rowan University Department of Music, the students will study in the spacious Wilson Music Building which houses Pfleeger Concert Hall, Boyd Recital Hall, two newly renovated rehearsal rooms, and over 80 practice rooms including several with "Smart Room" technology. The various performing and rehearsal spaces allow for the students to perform in both small and large ensembles. In addition, students will also be given the opportunity to take electives in various areas of music. Students will be housed in air-conditioned Rowan University housing and will eat in the newly renovated Student Center Dining Hall. Dormitory and campus supervision will be provided by Rowan University music students and Rowan University Campus Security. Evening events will feature performances by esteemed camp faculty and will highlight students performing with each other and the faculty. The closing concert will be an exciting culminating event. Applications will be accepted beginning January 1, 2013.
Note: A non-refundable deposit of $100 reserves your space at this camp. Payment is due in full by the first day of camp. Enrollment is limited. Students who fail to have their tuition paid in full by due date risk losing their reservation.
